No Knead White Bread

White Bread - No Knead

Ingredients

  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 cups cool water (70° to 75°)
  • Directions

    1. In a large bowl, whisk 3 cups flour, yeast and salt. Stir in water and enough remaining flour to form a moist, shaggy dough.
    2. Do not knead.
    3. Cover and let rise in a cool place until doubled, 7-8 hours.
    4. Place Dutch oven in the oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.
    5. Dump the dough ball onto slightly floured parchment paper.
    6. Once the oven has come up to temperature, remove the Dutch oven from the oven.
    7. Place dough and parchment paper into the Dutch oven.
    8. Cover the pot and bake for 30 minutes.
    9. Remove the lid and bake another 15 to 20 minutes or until the loaf is nicely browned.
    10. Remove from oven and remove to cool on a cooling rack.
